Owning a luxury Bahaman villa doesn't always have to mean staying on the beach all day. Those who enjoy spending time on the urban side of town may be happy to hear that downtown Freeport is being revitalized, according to the Bahamas Weekly. The source says that the capital city is undergoing a massive project to bring life to the downtown area on the island. Some business owners in the area are thrilled about the prospect that the district will be redone."The Downtown Revitalization Project is fantastic. I want to be in a place that's beautified and upbeat, where people would walk through as they go about their activities," said Ceva Seymour who owns a business in the region. "I feel that the Port Authority is really doing a good thing with the different changes they’ve brought about," she stated.Seymour says that the government is being helpful and assisting businesses in getting the proper permits necessary to open a facility. With the ease of opening businesses downtown, more may flock to the area, bringing renewed life to the city, despite the economic situation. When the revitalization project is complete, the Bahamas may offer visitors the best of both leisure and city life.
