Pair of private jet terminals may land in Thailand

Officials are now exploring plans to build a pair of airport terminals for private jets in both the northern and southern parts of Thailand.

The Bangkok Post reports Airports of Thailand is reviewing plans to build private terminals at the international airports in Chiang Mai and Phuket. The paper says that discussion on a Chiang Mai terminal was tabled two years ago because officials weren't sure if the idea was viable.

According to the Post, the Chiang Mai terminal would cost up to $50 to $60 million baht - about $1.6 to $2 million U.S. dollars - while the Phuket terminal would likely cost double that. The government expected to award contracts by the end of this year, and the terminals could be io
